Yeah, at the time I'd be going to you, I thought it was, it was a nice thing to do.

You know, to go to Europe was a, it's like, oh, let's do something else.

And it was just like, if you're in Europe, you're one of the better teams in the league so it's it's almost like a badge of honor right so we're in Europe you know I can remember qualifying for a cup when Dave's Burrchank came with a goal against Bolton it was a massive moment to be in Europe you know and it didn't really matter what tournament it was at the time. You're in Europe, you're on telling you on Wednesday night. And that's what it meant to me at that time. And great experiences traveling around Europe. I didn't go to millions of places. I just did the big ones, you know, the Barcelona, Real Madrid, went to Lons, you know. I did a few, actually But I know, so now I think back from memory's waking up.

Yeah, Milan, yeah, went there.

He's starting to come back to me now.

So, but I didn't go to all of them.

Someone like Tim would go to almost all of them in that period, you know,

and it's an incredible dedication. So, yeah, it just, I'll be honest, you can't, it was just a nice thing to do. I think at the time, you know, at the time, the key thing was, you know, English fans had a reputation abroad, which wasn't positive post what happened with Liverpool and the European

band, etc. And so there was a lot of scrutiny when you travelled away. So you had to dance around.

It didn't matter what you were. Look, you were English. So you were trouble. So you have to be

very, very careful how you, how you navigate

those times, you know, and how you travel. And so, but one good thing about Copenhagen was

there was none of that. It was a really joyous day before the game. I can remember it clearly,

or not that clearly, because I had the 24 stella's in my bag, right? So, so it wasn't super clear. But I can remember there was no animosity.

There was nothing that a lot of the Danish fans were all Arsenal fans. And there was a real,

real Arsenal bias in that whole place for the day, for the game, for the evening. So it's one of

those occasions where it's one of my top three games ever in my life. it's one of those occasions where it's one of my top three games

ever in my life. It was one of those occasions

where it's completely full of joy.

Then football now is much

more joyous, less tense.
