Welcome back to the Book Ride Podcast in which I had not really prepared myself for the

probably reasonable expectation that would be recording the show while votes are still

being counted and results are trickling.

Somehow I was getting myself through Tuesday, you know, we recorded bonus episode we had we had a good

time that day recording that episode it was a welcome distraction to do that show and

think about those shows with you it's like all right we didn't now on the

other side we'll record on Thursday and we'll at least know what the deal is but

We greet you now in here in limbo this is what limbo it feels like it like this is as close to like I would say it's on par of

waiting on serious medical results it's not quite that but it's not far

but it's not far. I agree. You know we've I think we've stopped saying the day and time that we're recording at the top of these shows but it matters today So it's's Thursday, November 5th.

We're waiting on Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania.

Yeah.

And hopefully by the time you all hear this,

this will be meaningless.

And I guess where we stand now, we'll do five minutes to this. I know I'm sure you're trying to dodge this as much as you can is that

It's looking like again current trends continue situation that Biden and Harris will win.

There's a whole bunch of complexity and what that win means and what it's looked like and how it shook out.

But I think we're going to try to do a show. Talk about some stuff. There's not a lot of book news, as you might expect. So we're going to do some follow-up. We're going to peruse. Publishers Weekly is always the first out of the gate with their best

books through the years. Usually it's like the day before Halloween. They usually

get like the last day of October for their November issue and again, well we'll talk about this in a minute but let's let's do
