First of all, I just want to say a big thank you from me, personally,

to all of you who got in touch after the previous episode of Newscast where we talked to Dr.

Catherine Mannix who is an expert in end of life care and as she taught me just

say it what you mean,

we talked about people dying in coronavirus.

And loads of you have got in touch,

some very personal messages, which are quite amazing and for example Craig Davidson

who's a nurse in Glasgow so in the health service he said this has inspired me

to have these difficult conversations about dying with my own parents, Carol and Adam, and my grandparents

today.

Oh, I'm getting a bit emotional.

And then somebody texts, I wouldn't say the name they sent me a

DM saying my mom's in her 80s and she went into a nursing home a few weeks ago

not being able to see her because the nursing home is closed to visitors and just hearing that if the worst happens and she does

get coronavirus and she dies from it, it won't be some kind of painful, horrible

death. She'll just slip into unconsciousness and go that way and this person said

that's a massive load off their shoulders.
