The one-eyed mistake. Kind of has a lot of ways you could interpret that. But let me explain it to you in this episode. I think you'll, some people will mock me for it because this, this is a mistake, big mistake, that other guys don't make,

0:55.2	what went right, what went wrong, and what I do differently if I had this bull in front of me
1:00.6	again, because I wouldn't make the same mistake three times. All right. So let's get into it. A few
1:06.9	years ago, I was hunting elk in early October. archery. We'd heard them bugling in a canyon
1:13.7	the night before. So we slipped in at first light down this mountain, down into the bottom of the
1:20.5	canyon, moving quietly in my leather stock as soon, checking the wind, doing everything right to
1:27.3	get as close as I could to the elk
1:29.6	in this bottom. And things were going really well. The elk were running down low at night in the
1:37.6	bottoms because the wind blows downhill and they like to do that. And then they'd move uphill at sunrise
1:42.4	to bed, kind of halfway up the hill and some
1:45.3	benches. So we knew the thermals would switch in the morning that the air blows downhill at night,
1:52.0	but uphill when the sun warms the ground. So our plan was to intercept the herd before that wind
