I am fired up to announce that we will finally be launching season three on April 20th. Yes, that's 420, with the premiere episode featuring none other than Casey

Musgraves. She's going to discuss Are You Sure, which is a fairly obscure Willie cut from the 60s,

and that her fans are going to know from the duet that she and Willie did on it for her 2015 album

pageant material. Her stories about cutting the song and shooting its video are pretty great, like this one,

about the unorthodox methods she used to set the mood in the studio.

When I was making pageant material, I thought it would be funny to get a whole bunch of tiaras,

and I brought them into the studio, and I made all the guys wear them.

And there was freaking Paul Franklin sitting there playing steel with like a sparkly tiara on,

and it was really cute.

Paul was like, guys, I got to go.

I have to go in 30 minutes.

And we were like, Paul, you have to do this song.

Like we're not letting you leave until you do this.

He's like wearing this crown.

He's like, guys, I really have to go.

We're like, Paul, just give us like two takes.

He sits down and he just pops that out,

that long and just like,

meh-oh-my-god, like, and it was so simple.

And that was, I think, like, take one or two,

and then he said, gotta go, and he left.
