Today I have the opportunity to have a conversation with a man who I never met until about 10 minutes ago

who wrote a book on pastoral care.

Ruben is that a fair way to sum it's a book on pastoral care, right?

That'd be a fair way to sum it up. It's a book on pastoral care, right? That'd be a fair way to

sum it up. It's a book on pastoral care. Yep. The work done by elders, deacons, pastors.

Who you're hearing is Ruben Bredenhoff. He has pastored for 18 years, different reform

congregations in both Canada and Australia. And at the moment, he is a member

of Cornerstone Canadian Reform Church in Hamilton, Ontario. And he is a minister set apart to the

seminary of his association of churches, the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary there in Hamilton, Ontario.

And I read his book, and it was encouraging to me.

It's called the Ministry of Small Things, wisdom for those who serve the church.

And when I read it, I thought to myself, surely there are other books like this that talk

about pastoral care, recent books,

but I'm not sure what they are.

And so I'm happy to encourage people to read that book and gain the wisdom that is just spread across its pages.
