Korean-American actor Stephen Young moved to L.A. and was quickly cast in AMC's The Walking Dead.

Now off the show, Yon reflects on six seasons playing friendly zombie fighter Glenn.

A character, he says, could sometimes feel a little colorless.

I guess the reason I can call it beige now is, like like in the rear view, we didn't go all the way.

And now I'm interested in playing full humans that can go all the way, that can be bad or good,

or just live in the duality of which is all of us, you know.

Yung joined us in the studio recently to talk about his role in the Oscar shortlisted Korean

film, Burning, in which he played The Mysterious Ben, a nuanced character, definitely not beige.

But we covered many more topics in our conversations, so we're airing that part of our

interview for the first time now.

Yon tells us about failing to make it an improv in Chicago and the fateful audition that gave him his start in Hollywood.

He also explains why after The Walking Dead, he's embraced roles in movies with Korean directors.
