Welcome to this special year-end edition of Pastors Talk.

We'd like to look back over this remarkable year in the history of Nine Marks.

Mark, for the first time since 1998, you're not the formal head of Nine Marks.

Does that make you sad?

No, it makes me very happy that, you know, we've had a good leadership exerted in this

organization from years ago when it got started Matt Schmucker to, for most of its life,

Ryan Townsend until very recently. And then this year has been Jonathan Lehman.

And you've been the sort of power behind the throne, really, ever since the days of Matt, because you've been the editor.

You've been the guy behind the curtain making sure all the good stuff comes out. It's been a good year watching you give leadership formally to nine marks.

So we had a president that was me and now you're the president.

But what I was formally, along with you, was one of four directors, along with Rick Denham and

Ryan Townsend. And Ryan was the executive director. And that had real advantages. It pulled us all

in on a lot of stuff. It also slowed things down. And as Nine Marks has grown, it became clear we needed a more efficient organization.

You had been basically providing a lot of the machinery intellectually behind Nine Marks literally for decades.

So here you are.

And it's been a fantastic year.

And at this point, what is the person who's taken my title and a lot of my work is Taylor Hartley.

Yeah.

Alex Duke is going to be running a new enterprise.

And Alex is a Bible talk guy.

Yeah.
