The Emerald.

All that's happening on lot in certain circles these days you know when you hear someone

say something that you feel aligned to what do you say you often say wow that really resonates

the work that so-and-so is doing

really resonates. And the implication when we say that resonates is more than just, I agree,

conceptually with what you just said. It's that there is something that is happening on a more

feeling level, something vibratory, perhaps harmonic. You know, the instrument that is me

is humming along with the instrument that is you. We're like two prongs of a tuning fork,

and the space between us is alive, and we are humming in tune with something greater all around us,

right? The harmony of nature, perhaps. The great song, the song of all that is,

that resounds from the granite walls, through the valleys and the city streets, and whispers

through the autumn grasses, and speaks through the voice of the river and is magnified and amplified

through communal singing, and through the pouring of sweat, and the deepening of breath,

and the pounding of feet, and through chanting and murmuring, a hundred voices murmuring,

and resounds within the body and the bones, and all the hollow spaces in hearts and femurs and crania,

and causes us too to want to lift up our voices in song.

This is resonance.
