I'm here with Mark Feather, who's an assistant pastor at Capitol Hill Baptist and has been helping them think through the issues of Eastern Orthodoxy.

And Joshua himself is pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Russellville, Arkansas, and author most recently of disillusioned why I left the Eastern Orthodox

priesthood and church. Joshua, thank you for joining us for this second conversation.

Well, thank you so much for having me. It's a real joy. If you didn't, folks, if he didn't listen

to the first one, go back, and that's where we talked a little bit about his own 12 years.

He spent in the Eastern Orthodox Church and even as a priest, as well as his reasons for

departing it, and moving back to where he'd grown up in Protestantism, even was in a

Reformed Baptist Church, then went back to Protestantism, this time in a reformed Baptist church, then went back to Protestantism.

This time is a Lutheran, a Missouri Synod Lutheran, which is the church he's been pastoring

for the last two years. And we thought about that and his discovery of denials of justification

by faith alone that are in part of Eastern Orthodoxy. And that

you described that as a very sad, harrowing experience. And that was, that was a, that was a

moving part of the conversation. I'm grateful for that. What we want to do in this episode is

think about it more pastorally. So, for instance, Mark, you've had members of

your church come to you and say they're considering this. Yeah. So unfortunately, we had to go

through a case of discipline for precisely this. A member of the church was getting into

orthodoxy to try to help a friend who was thinking about it,
