I am back in Paris for lockdown 2.0. Guys, the American election drama has died down for now,

and we can all return to our regularly scheduled European drama. Luckily for us, Europe is never short on that,

and this week a lot of it happened in the UK, after Boris Johnson's senior aide Lee Kane stormed off

and a huff. Today we learned Dominic Cummings will also be making an exit. Wolfgang, what's going on

with Brexit right now? We are in the final stage of the negotiations, but the complication is a palace

coup going on in Number 10 Downing Street.

The British media have been focusing mostly on the characters involved in this dramatic coup.

The hard Brexiters are all on their way out.

The ones who basically have been running the number 10 who have been responsible for the poor relations between

Johnson and backbenchers.

This is now ending.

But for us, the bigger question is Brexit, really, because we've had two resignation threats

over the last two days by the Brexit negotiator Lord Frost and his deputy.

And both of them would, you know, why would they resign? The Lord Frost certainly

is not associated to the vote leave team. The deputy is, but Frost isn't. Why would Frost resign

or discuss his resignation just before his negotiations conclude? Now, the only explanation we have

is that there is some unwelcome

from his point of view, some unwelcome development. And the only unwelcome development I can

see, given that both Frost and his team have maintained a very uncompromising line on state aid

and on fisheries, the only thing that I can assume must have interfered is an indication from
