Hello, welcome to this week's Naked scientists with me Chris Smith and also with

Dave Ansel. Hi Dave Hansel, hi Dave. Hi Bert. Now coming up the fly flu

how scientists have adapted the flu virus so it can infect insect cells and that's

actually helped them to uncover at least a hundred

new ways to combat the flu which is good for this forthcoming winter. Also how

researchers in America have found a new way to turn their office windows into

solar cells that can pump out power and how scientists

have also used muscle stem cells to treat mice with muscular dystrophy and that

suggests that the same trick might work in humans and we'll be finding out how it

works in just a minute.

Olympics about to kick off we're looking at the science of how athletes use science

to get themselves in shape for the big event.

Plus we would be finding out how performance

enhancing drugs work and how scientists are hot on the heels of the people who are using

Now to me about the science of sport, you're going to need a big bouncy ball and a tennis ball if you want to have a go at this week's kitchen science experiment.
