So this month I'm going to be celebrating some amazing dynamic women, some you may have heard of, some you may never have heard of.

This woman has been on my show many, many times. I met her because she did a book called The Truth About White Lies, and she's a novelist, and she writes for young people mostly, and she's an educator as well, and a great mom. And the last time she was on my radio show at Sirius XM, we had a whole conversation about her hysterectomy.

She had a hysterectomy.

And she's young, right?

She's in her 30s.

And it was fascinating in the conversations.

I wanted to share it with you.

But we also got into womanhood and what that should look like and what our responsibilities are.

And also leaving space for allies and accomplices this month and beyond.

started grad school. I just had a hysterectomy.

Oh, oh, wait. Okay, well, pause. Okay, let's unpack one thing at a time.

First of all, grad school, what are you studying? Creative writing. So fiction. I love this.

So you have written, I want to say five books published?

I've written 10 books. Ten books. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. No, you're fine. No,

I've published 10 books and I am, I was long listed for the National Book Award. I have gotten

best books of, you know, New York Public Libraries, all the things.

But I really enjoy teaching.

And I've started to feel myself hitting the limit so what I'm able to do as a teacher.

And I was like, well, if I'm going to learn how to teach, I need to learn, remember how to learn.
