| 0:36.9 | Welcome back. This is the Big Blue Bander. New York Giants football podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. Join as always my co-os, Nick Palado. Today we're here to break down the Giants' offensive line as we headed to training camp. There's a lot of excitement around this offensive line. I think some of it warranted. Some of it, maybe not so warranted. We're going to get to all of that. Break down individual players. The line as a whole position battles that could emerge, where we think things could go right, where we think things may go wrong. What ultimately it means for year one for Brian Davel and Mike Kafka, what it means for year four of Daniel Jones, you know, inheriting a line that has a lot more talent than it's ever had in his career with the Giants so far. Before we do that, let's catch up a little bit. It's been a long time. This might have been our longest break since last pods. I took a full week vacation, tuned out completely from work, which was nice. Got to do Vegas. At the end of Vegas, though, actually on my flight home waiting for the same flight, or waiting for a flight that was right next to my flight, that was the late going to LaGuardia, was Jason Garrett, Giants offensive coordinator, Nick, or former Giants offensive coordinator. He was working on something is no bad, so I didn't say anything to him, Nick. I got to be honest with you, I tweeted out, what should I say to say to him I was joking around mostly I'm not the type of guy that goes up to like a guy like that and like blast him or like if there was if I was going to talk to him I was literally going to be like I want to hear your side of the story like I literally want to hear I know from your his perspective it wasn't just my system sucks I call crappy plays it's all on me it's a little bit |
| 2:02.7 | on the line but it's all on me like i'm sure he has a little bit of a different opinion of what went |
| 2:06.8 | down in those two years and i would have loved to get that but at the same time and i had an idea |
| 2:12.1 | for how i was going to approach it because he's going to look i'm trying to learn the game here's some |
| 2:15.5 | talking points blah blah blah talk a little pre-to-post snap. |
| 2:18.4 | Talk a little bit about Jones and things of that nature. But ultimately, I decided not to bother him, Nick, because he was working on something at the time. He was writing in his notepad. He was on his computer. And I feel like I was just going to get a political answer from him anyway. If it came to Jones or anything related to the Giants. So I passed, but it was interesting to see him. |
| 2:15.8 | There was no way Jason Garrett was interesting to see him. |
| 2:35.2 | There was no way Jason Garrett was going to like dive in depth with somebody who just approached him |
| 2:40.2 | at the airport. But that would have been awesome, dude, because there is two sides to every single |
| 2:44.7 | story. And I'm sure Jason Garrett's side is a lot different than public perception, whether that's |
| 2:48.7 | accurate or not. That can be left to determination. |
| 2:51.3 | But did you enjoy your trip, Dan? |
| 2:53.0 | Yeah, great trip out there. |
| 2:55.0 | Crazy ending, though. |
| 2:55.9 | I've never done this far. |
