Joined as always my co-ist, Nick Bellato. I want to address a couple things to the top of the show.

Unfortunately, I am dealing with some kind of nasty sickness. I don't think it's COVID because I have any of the COVID symptoms and I've tested

negative for COVID. Not twice, though. Someone has told me probably more accurately that these days

it's hard to test accurately for COVID because there's like 70,000 variants and who knows what

those tests account for. But I'm just hoping it's not. But either way, I'm really struggling, hard to sleep. So it's hard for me to do this right now. It's going to be a Nickcentric show, which I know some of you will be pumped about anyway. And I also want to address this other thing that I've seen that people have been complaining a lot about, which is my mic loudness. So apparently some people think that I'm just actively moving in and out and away from

the mic. I can assure you that's not what I'm doing. I have listened. I hear what you guys are

hearing. Sometimes my mic sounds louder than other times. This is an issue with the mic. I bought this

mic at the top of the year, but it's taken a beating. I've traveled with it a lot because when I go on trips for work or for fun,

I bring the mic so me and Nick can record podcasts. There's really no dead time of the year as far

as reporting podcast goes. And what I've noticed is the mic has taken a beating and it's not

working as well as it was. So I can assure you that I'm not moving away to or from or 17 feet away and then

rushing back in so it sounds louder or weaker at times. What I can also show you is that I am

researching and I'm going to buy another mic. So I'm going to upgrade my mic choice. So hopefully
