I think during the Ohio State season. We are going to do rapid fire from our tech subscribers. We're going to do reasons for the passing game. The offense being a little bit off. That's the first question. We're going to talk about Tyler Williams. We're going to talk about Bronny James and the recruitment of him. What it might mean not just for Ohio State basketball, but also Ohio State football. game. If you're going to a game and you haven't been in a while, what should you do before the game? What should you watch for in this game against Arkansas State? Talkable about Paris Johnson. We talk about what if Ohio State had taken advantage of a couple more opportunities and won a little bit bigger. We have Steven means checking it on his prediction of Marvin Harrison Jr. Breaking the touchdown record this year. Some advice for kids for parents that I offer. And then at the end, because people like some of this stuff, we talk about some of the beat changes on the Ohio State beat.

Some people at different places. Why does it seem like every now and then people do move around a lot? I think some people like when we check in on the beat. Some don't care about it. As always, let's get right to rapid fire. All right. Down to rapid fire here on Thursday. Buck, I talked that start off number one. We're ranking something here from the 3 3 0.

What is more to blame for the offensive struggles on Saturday? It being week one against the top five team. Losing Jack and Smith and Jigma early. Or not having crystal lava and Garrett Wilson. So let's make those the three categories. It's early. You lose your best dude or you're missing your NFL receivers. And that's each put those in order. One, two, three, which most contributed to it. So Nathan, what would be

your number one of those three options? I know what my number three would be. My number one is tougher. But I think I probably would say losing Jackson Smith and Jigma that is good as I think Notre Dame's defense legitimately is that I think losing a talent of that kind who is so integral to the game plan that they came in with, how state came in with and is just so able to do things on a field instinctively.

And with the connection he has with CJ Stroud that's been building longer than with these other guys. I think we saw the ramifications of that absence playing out through that long stretch of the game where they just weren't scoring points.

That would also be my number one and both Ryan Day and CJ Stroud talked about that on Tuesday that it kind of was a thing. Steven, what would be your number one?

Yeah, that would be number one. You just spent nine months preparing for this game with the idea that he would be the focal point of the offense and you lost him five minutes into the game.

So what's your number two, Steven? Is it losing Chris and Garrett or is it that it's weak one against a good defense?

And the reason I went with that one over Chris and Garrett is Notre Dame still a quality opponent. It's not Notre Dame isn't like CJ Stroud put it. They're not some bumps.

They're quality opponent, but also in rewatching this game, part of the reason the passing game struggled a little bit outside of some things that were going on for how state was Notre Dame was too high safety, basically the entire game and forced everything to stay in front of them and took away the home run of hitting ability of this Ohio state.

Offense when you combine that with the misses they did have you get some weird funky stuff, which is why it was such a big deal when they finally listed two safeties and say your job to get to touchdown.

But that's that's more about Notre Dame, Marcus Freeman and their defensive scheme than it was like something. Oh, how state wasn't doing.

And that's they're going to, you know, they dropped eight a lot right CJ Stroud was talking about that. They are going to see that Nathan was what did you have for your number two, Nathan?

That's my number two also. And it plays in a little bit to number one, though, because again, as I said, going into the pod, we need to do or into the game.

We needed to remember this is Marcus Freeman who knows the thing or two about coordinating defense. It's our golden who's been doing this for a while.

Notre Dame has some, you know, veteran guys on defense. We know the talent level that they had from a couple of those guys.

And Joseph and Isaiah Foskey and this wasn't going to be necessarily a team that a house eight could just blow off the field from the beginning, the way it did against Michigan state.

So that plays into though to number one, because if you could be a fly on the wall at Notre Dame's defensive meeting or on the sideline, like how does it change schematically for them defensively when they don't have to worry about Jackson Smith and Jigby anymore.

And now they get to come after a house date, maybe in a different way, their, their DVs get to approach that game in a different way.
