Summary

Our Fake History is now releasing "throwback" episodes in the off-weeks between series. The regular show will still hit the feed every two weeks, but once a series has wrapped up listeners will get a little extra: a classic episode with a fresh introduction from Sebastian. This week you are getting thrown all the way back to Episode #2! The “Great Fire” of 64 AD was the 9/11 of the ancient world, complete with it’s own “truther” conspiracy. Could Emperor Nero actually have been behind the great fire? Did he play the fiddle as Rome burned? 0:15.4	going on here. A throwback episode at this time of year in this economy? Yeah I
0:20.9	know it's unusual but it's part of something new that I'm going to be doing with the Our Fake History feed.
0:28.0	New episodes of Our Fake History are going to keep coming every two weeks on schedule just like they have for the
0:35.5	past nine years. But when I've finished a series just like the Mozart trilogy
0:41.2	that I just wrapped up I will be releasing a throwback episode on the week that would have
0:46.5	traditionally been an off week. The effect is that you're just going to get more our fake history, not less.
0:54.8	Every time I release a throwback, I'll also include a little introduction like the one
0:59.1	you're hearing right now, reflecting on the show that I'm throwing you back to. Now I'm sure some of you are
1:06.5	thinking dude can I just scroll back in the feed to hear the old shows? Yes, that's very true, but you would be surprised how many
1:16.5	listeners out there don't do that. We are now approaching 200 episodes of our fake history and the back catalog has
1:25.9	gotten large enough that newcomers are sometimes daunted by it. I know this
1:31.0	because I get requests all the time to do topics on the show that I've already

1:37.6	So hopefully these off-week throwbacks will bring some attention to the stuff in the back catalog. Now to be clear I'm only
1:46.2	going to be doing these between series. So if I have an ongoing series, each part will drop two weeks apart, and you should not
