On today's show, we are looking forward to the off season, which is officially set to begin on Monday. We'll talk about why the Jets are already off to a pretty solid start. They've made a number of minor moves, which are very logical. We'll talk about why the Jets need to be flexible in the NFL draft, and they can't just focus on one side of the ball. Well, we will begin by focusing on free agency.

The legal tampering period begins Monday, and what that means is free agents are allowed to start negotiating with other teams.

And the Jets enter a free agency among the league leaders

in salary cap space.

This is a roster that does not have a lot of talent.

So the Jets figured to be very active, unlike a year ago,

when the Jets were very limited with what they could do

as far as the salary cap goes.

Pro Football Focus wrote an interesting article a little bit earlier in the week where they

profiled some of the biggest spending teams and they offered recommendations.

And for the Jets, they suggested perhaps going after Colts receiver, Alec Pierce.

And they also talked about how the team traded away Germain Johnson, which opened up

a whole of defense event.

And they suggested perhaps the Jets could look at signing Trey Hendrickson or Kaleo Mack.

To me, one of these suggestions was a pretty good one, and two of them were pretty bad. I think that one of them would be the Jets showing a different approach in free agency to what
