So according to Mark Meadows, Mark Meadows was just doing his job, setting up a call so his boss could pressure the Georgia Secretary of State into finding him some votes.

So that's just typical run to the mill chief of staff stuff, right?

Now than I see here, guys, just doing my job. At least that's been his argument to try and get his

case moved to federal court. If he'd been successful, he may have had a more favorable jury pool,

so there were some stakes for him. Or, in the dream scenario for Meadows, it could have meant

dismissal of his case altogether. But late on Friday, a judge in Atlanta flatly rejected his request to move his case.

It turns out, you can't just claim all of your alleged crime was under the big umbrella of

politics as usual.

Then they work for a talking point, maybe, but it doesn't work under the law.

It's a massive setback for Meadows, has already filed his appeal and for Donald Trump,

who has signaled he might try the same thing.
