Hello and welcome to best laid plans. This is the podcast where we talk all things

0:13.2

planning adjacent and this is your host, Sarah Hart Unger. Today I'm going to bring you a

0:18.2

Q&A episode because they are accumulating. And I have a lot of really

0:22.1

fun requests for planner matchmaking. So I wanted to share those in case you are starting to look for

0:27.0

your 2024 planner stack. And I have the news that I just ordered three kind of random

0:35.3

requested planners for some review episodes coming up so you'll have lots of lots

0:39.5

more options to think about in the future. But for now, I wanted to get cut up on questions

0:44.2

because I got so many great ones. So here we go. We're going to be doing some matchmaking,

0:49.7

some thought about planning retreats, and thoughts about carrying around your planners and some other stuff.

0:57.6

So without further ado, here we go. The first few questions are all about matchmaking. So here's

1:03.0

our first match request. This person writes, Hi, Sarah. I'm looking for a new planner. I'm a

1:10.6

long time Aaron Condren life planner

1:12.3

user hourly. I was very happy when they came out with the softbound version for many reasons.

1:17.8

It was larger, lefty-friendly, so no spiral, and fit nicely in my bag, also due to no spiral. I don't

1:24.4

love that there's no monthly tabs like in the spiral version. It's not easy to flip

1:28.2

from month to month, which I do very frequently. I suppose there's nothing really wrong with it,

1:32.7

but I'm interested in a change. I really like the idea of plum paper since long term,

1:37.5

it seems like it could save time with being able to upload recurring yearly events to be pre-printed.

1:43.3

I also like the customizable ability for the side

1:45.8

columns and hours shown. However, it's spiral-bound, which is a deal-breaker for me. So must-haves include

1:52.8

soft-bound or lefty-friendly, large size, the Aaron Condren is 8 by 10, and that's been great,

2:00.1

month tabs, and an hourly layout.
