So this week we Steinberg and David Vieting. So this week we're back to something more reminiscent of earlier paracast episodes

where we're mixing it up a little bit in the two hours.

On our first hour, we have Leslie Kane, a friend of the show,

and one of the most reputable people doing real research

work around the UFO topic related to the mainstream media. And then also we're thrilled to

have on for the first time. The guy who writes, and I quote, the mainstream media's lonely UFO

weblog, DeVoid. We have Billy Cox on the show today, and I'm thrilled that we were able to get Billy

on after quite a while of trying to, because we think it's really important at this point

in time, at all points in time, really, talk about how the mainstream media deals with

the topic of UFOs.

Now, Billy, you've been writing about this topic for a while

for the Sarasota Herald Tribune. I'm wondering, we'd like to know, how is it that you convinced

a mainstream newspaper to let you write about UFOs? Well, only on the blog, not really

for the print platform.

When I came over here, I had been working for a number of years at the Gannett newspaper over in Bavard County, which is the backyard at Kennedy Space Center.

And I've been writing about UFOs off and on in sort of feature context for a number of years over there

and so I have quite a bit of interest in it so when I was recruited to come over here one of the

first thing that I asked them you know was would they have a problem with me writing about

UFO stories and they hadn't counted on that kind of question, I'm sure, for any of their
