We begin with the ULA and a success.

Bob, what is ULA, what is Kuiper, and good for them?

What have they done?

All right, so ULA is a rocket company. It's the partnership of Boeing. what is Kuiper, and good for them. What have they done?

All right, so ULA is a rocket company.

It's a partnership of Boeing and Lockheed Mountain.

It's mostly shifting to its new Vulcan rocket,

but that's not launching very much. So it has about 10 Atlas 5 rockets before it retires to launch.

And it completed this week its second launch of Amazon's Kuiper satellite constellation.

We'll put up 27 satellites that double the number of satellites in orbit.

They now have 54 satellites in orbit.

And it was a success.

There's some context here that we have to put this in perspective.

Kuiper wants to have 3,200 satellites in orbit to complete its constellation to compete successfully with Starlink.

It has an FCC license that requires it to get 1,600 up in orbit by July of next year, one year from now.

It's got 54 in orbit.

Whether you can get the remaining 1,50, 46 satellites in orbit in that period of time in one year is really questionable.

So it's going to be interesting to how this plays out.

This is the second launch of the Kuiper.
