You know what's funny about that at the time I didn't even know that because at the time, that was my first time ever being on Rikers Island.

Hi, everyone. My name is Victor Abram. I'm here today to share my story of being wrongfully arrested, incarcerated, and the fight for justice that I've been battling ever since. I was only 19 years old when my life was turned upside down.

And now almost eight years later,

I'm still dealing with the consequences of a system

that not only failed me, but also continues to fail many others.

Before all of this, I was working hard to fulfill my dream

of joining the Air Force and becoming a pilot. But in 2016,
