Knifed in the gut, a subway rider who caught the blade, not unprovoked.

How often do we hear about these attacks on the New York City subway

And on the streets in New York City and in New York City parks and inside various

buildings lots of attacks and a great many of these crimes fall into a category of attack

unprovoked it's a random attack and one where the victim neither did nor said anything

to cause the attacker to become enraged.

I just realized it's self-explanatory.

But in this case, there was a reason.

According to the New York Post, a man with a knife stabbed the 54-year-old victim in the gut.

After the victim asked the other guy to stop talking loudly on his phone.

And even if it's not necessarily a completely valid reason to stab a guy, somehow it's still comforting that there was a reason. No one likes to be told what to do, I guess. I never stabbed

anybody over something like this, but in fairness, it didn't occur to me that it was an option.

It seems so rash, so devil may care, so liberating.

But hey, you know, maybe it was his tone.

Or maybe it was just a big misunderstanding.

That could be.

Like the guy said, could you please quiet down your talking?

But the guy thought he said, like, could you stab me, make me frown, blue stocking?

Which I don't like to victim blame anyone, but if you say that, you kind of deserve to be stabbed, you know, or, you know, at the very least you're asking for it.

Now, this happened on the E train, E for excessive violence, and that certainly describes this very troubling crime at the Jamaica Center, Parsons Archer Station.
