Harry, a good year to you for this and subsequent months, but I want to catch up on the story of Mayor Adams,

when last you and I had an occasion to talk, FBI agents had obtained documents

that related to the mayor's campaign financing for his election two years ago.

That was the story that was alarming, but at the same time I've not caught up with what's

happened since then.

So Mayor's fundraisers home was rated

at the start of November by FBI agents and that is how the news of this became

public and Adams who is on his way to Washington to push for more help with migrants

abruptly turned his plane right around, didn't say why.

And this story emerged.

Now, November to December, to December, nearly three months later, there are not a ton of new developments.

Obviously, people have been looking at its fundraising, more generally reporters, connections. but is

connections with Turkey which seems to be very relevant here

but this is simply looming the thing I would stress, John, is the Southern District doesn't get to

investigate the mayor of New York City without getting sign off from Justice

Central in Washington, from Merrick Arlen, and in effect from the Biden administration.
