The New York Times this week admitted that school closures during the pandemic significantly hurt children and did little to protect their safety.

Hey Amanda, so this report from The Times notably comes a stunning four years after the fact but nonetheless

addresses the harm of school closures. What did the report find? The report

found that the more time students spent in remote learning the further they fell behind academically.

And importantly, these extended school closures did little to stop the spread of COVID or

protect children, which is why they were supposedly implemented.
