Summary

You asked, and we delivered. Aaron Sahlman comes on the podcast today.

Aaron is fresh off of a remarkable season where he won his first-ever cross-country race... the only catch is that that race was the national championship. Not only did he win in stunning fashion, but also broke his former teammate Nico Young's course record. Aaron also helped his team Newbury Park win their second-ever national team championship. On the track, Aaron is a 4xmile (HS) national record holder and holds PRs of 1:48.91 (800m), 4:01.34 (mile), and 8:48.28 (3200m). Aaron has made it known that he will be going after Michael Granville's long-standing 800m high school national record this upcoming season.

In this episode, Aaron documents his start in the sport, growing up with Colin Sahlman as a brother, Newbury Park, winning NXN, future goals, and aspirations, and much more! This episode was very insightful and a ton of fun. I'm confident that you'll walk away from this conversation all the more motivated to chase after your goals.

Guys, to perform at your best, you need to be adequately fueled before and after training,

0:07.6

and one of my favorite ways to stay fueled and ready to go is with Clean Energy.

0:11.8

Clean Energy is a clean label, certified organic smoothie, and a single serve packet

0:15.8

that changes the paradigm for on-the-go sports nutrition.

0:19.1

Unfortunately, many energy bars, drinks, and gels made today

0:21.8

contain added sugars and lab-created ingredients, which your body may treat as toxins and could

0:26.7

be detrimental to long-term health. On the contrary, clean energy contains only organic fruits and

0:32.6

vegetables, and the result is more bioavailable energy in the short term and more healthful energy

0:37.1

in the long term.

0:38.4

Don't just take my word for it because in one year since its launch, clean energy is used by

0:43.5

athletic departments across the ACC, Big Ten, and Pac-12 conferences.

0:48.1

Another awesome thing to see was clean energy was stocked in the woman's final four locker rooms.

0:52.6

And perhaps coolest of all, clean energy

0:54.4

has been recognized by Runner's World in their annual fitness awards as a best food to eat before a run.

0:59.5

I completely agree with this, as I've used Clean Energy for a few weeks now, and it is my go-to pre-run

1:04.9

snack. My favorite parts about it are its clean ingredients, delicious taste, and convenience that saves

1:10.4

me many minutes every

1:11.4

day before my run. Clean energy is shelf stable for months, durable, and portable for whenever

1:16.5

and wherever you go. Clean energy is healthy energy for the long run of life. You guys can find

1:22.5

Clean Energy's incredible product at clean smoothie.com and on Amazon by searching for clean energy smoothie.
