Hey guys, and welcome to the Moms and Mysteries podcast, a true crime podcast featuring myself, Mandy, and my dear friend Melissa. Hi, Melissa. Hi, Mandy. How are you? I'm doing well, enjoying a little crisp, cool air this mid-December morning.

Loving it. It's absolutely beautiful outside. Excited to be in here recording, but yeah, I'm glad it's not like a full day.

We do have the privilege of going outside during our work days, and I will take advantage of that

today. Absolutely. I did want to wait until the sun came out a little bit. It was freezing this

morning. I didn't even take my, like, early morning walk because it was way too cold for me. So

that tells you how cold it was. My son will not wear a sweatshirt. So I have to like pack it in his backpack. And today I made the like, like, arm of it come out of his zipper. So if somebody would see him, they'd be like, oh, he has one. He's just choosing not to instead of it being like tucked in and just looking like he's freezing. I'm like, could you just,

until you walk in the building, could you do this for me? And he's just like, no, absolutely no.

So, you know, we take our wins where we can get them. Mandy, can I tell you something really,

really quick that I think he might enjoy it. Okay. So you know, I'm in physical therapy. I go twice a

week for my hip. Wonderful. Love my therapist. He is wonderful. Great. Figured out. I thought we were close in age. He just turned 28 years old. And now I realize, oh, he thinks I'm like not up here. He thinks I'm like his mother. And there's just

something about that dynamic that is so upsetting. And I thought it was bad enough. And then I went to

my dentist this week. And I love my dentist, but found out she retired. I go in. They tell me

there's a new dentist. He's wonderful. I go in, sit down, blah, blah, blah. Next thing I know a child comes in and informs me he's my dentist. And I was like, I can't do this anymore. I don't know what's happening. He had to have been the same age or younger than the physical therapist. And I'm like, I've got to, I need to be like exact or what is it opposite ageist. I only want older people.

Yeah. Helping me because what is happening? I'm like, you know, I totally agree. Now, it's the weirdest feeling whenever you realize that someone is younger than you by at least 10 years or more.

And then you're like, what is happening right now? And especially when they're like a very successful person, right? I'm very happy for their success. But then I'm like, what am I doing?

What failure I've been. It was unreal. It was just he told me, the physical therapist told me the story that was like, so sweet. I was wearing a shirt, a Gap sweatshirt that I got from Costco, of course. And he's like, oh, yeah, he's like, when we were younger, my mom made us all get a family picture and gap our Gap sweaters. And I was like, oh, my God, you really do think I could be your mother so it's it's

funny and not weird at all but yeah going well but I love it could not feel older every day I love

it I love it I feel like there's probably a lot of benefit to having a sharp young mind for for your
