I think what has become clear to me over the last few years of covering this league,

and especially in the last two years, I would say, is if you're not constantly thinking about ways to evolve your club,

to improve your roster, to add more tools to your toolkit, and I think especially in racing's case,

if you're not being given the resources to evolve, you're going to get left behind.

The 26th NWSL season is officially a third of the way through. So now that we see this league taking a month-long pause during the group stage of the Men's World Cup, which

kicks off on June 11th.

We've got a lot to talk about, mainly an unbeatable Utah Royals, a San Diego Waveside

that is sitting at the top of the NWSL table, and the Washington spirit coming into form

and also finding some luck in the man or the wolf, shall I say, or sorry,

the coyote, Jose the coyote. Meanwhile, those teams that are sitting in the middle of the pack

that have found their footing, the Kansas City Current, benefiting from their offseason edition

of Corey Bethune, the return of Tamachoinga finally healthy with seven goals in eight games, not so bad,

while other teams continue to be stuck in the basement.

So we're going to discuss that and so much more as teams wave goodbye to their international

players for this crucial June window.
