We're going to go and get started. When we get started, we're going to get started at the beginning of

Numbers Chapter 8. As we said before, Numbers is kind of a hard book to recap because it's not

sort of a continuous story.

It's lots of different kinds of stuff.

So, I mean, even last time we went through three chapters and each of the three chapters

was very different.

And within one of the chapters, each section was very different than the previous section.

Sometimes you can kind of see the thread

sort of connecting things.

Sometimes it's not even completely clear.

There's just a lot of different things in numbers.

But so that said, in general, we were,

and this is going to continue a little bit tonight,

in general, we read at length somewhat repetitiously,

about the sort of the opening round of sacrifices at the consecration of the tabernacle.

So the tabernacle had been set up, the beginning of the sacrifices and the ministry had

begun there, and so each of the sacrifices and the ministry had begun there.

And so each of the tribes through sort of the elder of that tribe had sent offerings,

which we read about in detail, even though each tribe sent the exact same offerings.

We read about each tribe setting those exact same offerings but that's that's sort of where we're at
