So basically where we're going here in chapter four, as you can probably see from the headings,

is we're going to get a little more detail on the duties of the different clans within the Levites. So chapter four, verse one, then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron saying, take a sum total of the different clans within the Levites. So chapter four verse one, then the Lord spoke to

Moses and Aaron saying, take a sum total of the sons of Kohat from among the children of Levi by

their tribes and the houses of their families from 25 years old and above, even to 50 years old,

all who enter liturgical service to do all the works in the tabernacle of

testimony. So we're doing now ages 25 to 50. This is not military service. This is, these are the

years when they're going to serve in the tabernacle. They retire after 50. And if they make it to 50, they are now, yes,

that's not a ton of people. Yeah. But then they have this honored and respected place where they're not

doing the, and some of this is functional, right? You don't need 55-year-olds lifting and carrying

things. Well, there are 25-year-olds around.

Not 55 yet.

That's when you start getting discounts.

I mean, this horrible spot where, like, getting older, no discounts.

But, yeah, so that's the band, right?

And this is, so the age is going to end up being 25 for Levites in general, 30 for priests.

This actually gets taken over in the canons of the church.
