This section is focusing on Chris's transition from a sparkling playing career into the management side of the game.

We hear all about his experience at Charlton, getting the job without applying highs and of course some lows and what it was like working under Roland

Ducatelais, of course. And then we talk about Huddersfield Town and South End United where Chris spent just over a year

ending back in March the worst injury crisis potentially ever seen in the EFL. Chris discusses just how much

that impacted things at South End this year and goes on to talk more generally about management,

about the pressures, about how the game has changed since his first managerial role and about

what the future might hold for him. It was such a pleasure to spend a few hours in the company

of Chris Powell, such an engaging and kind man and incredibly open during this interview for which

You played for a few more teams towards the end of your career.

I'm quite eager to get into the managerial section.

But you had a sped in the championship with West Ham,

where you won the playoffs against Preston,

two spells at Charlton with Watford in between.

And then you finish your career at Leicester.

And I think it's interesting, isn't it,

because Sven ends up part of the Leicester story as well, right?

But when you joined Leicester, was it Nigel Pearson in charge of the club? Yeah, yeah.
