Secretary of State Anthony Blakenkin says the U.S. is urging Israel to do more to protect

civilians in Gaza. He says there's a gap in what they said they would do and what's happening

on the ground.'s impiards Michelle

Kellerman. Secretary Blinken says he's been talking to Israeli officials on a

regular basis about the promises they made to him last week to ensure that

Palestinians are notified about where they could

go to be safe and where they can get aid.

Lincoln says there's a gap between Israel's intent and the results on the ground.

Israel has an obligation to do everything possible to put a premium on,

protecting civilians and maximizing humanitarian assistance.

Blinking is pressing Hamas to release more hostages, blaming them for the collapse of a deal that led to a week-long

pause in fighting.

Several Arab foreign ministers are calling for a ceasefire and will meet Lincoln here on Friday.
