Former President Donald Trump publicly took the stand for the first time to answer questions

about financial statements created by the Trump Organization, his flagship company.

As NPR's Menabastio reports, the testimony quickly became heated though.

Trump testified for several hours about his role within the Trump organization and the value of various

popular properties. But it didn't take long before he accused the judge of being

partisan, the attorney general of being a political hack, and calling this trial a disgrace.

New York Judge Arthur and Goron called on Trump's lawyers to quote control him and limit his lengthy

responses.

Also during the testimony, Trump argued that his properties were likely

undervalued even in the financial statements already ruled to be

fraudulent and he also argued that he relied on others to create the statements for him

claiming that he was not involved.

Ivanca Trump is expected to testify later this week.
