Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Janine Hurst. Both major presidential

candidates are focusing on the battleground states this week as Election Day

approaches. Republican Donald Trump is rallying in Pennsylvania tonight and tomorrow.

Democrat Kamala Harris rallied in Detroit today and she holds events in Georgia tonight and

tomorrow.

Ahuwabali of Member Station W-A-B-E reports more than a to

tomorrow. Huh Bali of Member Station W-A-B-E reports more than a million Georgians have already cast

ballots in early voting.

Harris's rally in Atlanta this evening will feature R&B icon usher in an effort to get more Georgians to vote early.

Tomorrow Harris will be part of a soul's to the polls event outside Atlanta at New Birth Missionary

Baptist Church, a predominantly black mega church.

Harris returns to Georgia Thursday to campaign with former President Barack Obama,

it will be their first appearance on the campaign trail together.

Former President Donald Trump, who is also pushing Georgians to vote early,

returns to the Atlanta area on Wednesday for a rally.

More than 1 million of Georgia's 8 million registered voters have already cast a ballot.

The Israeli military has intensified its attacks in northern Gaza, saying it's battling Hamas militants.
