An Israeli air strike in Lebanon has killed at least 21 people according to the

Lebanese Red Cross. The attack comes a day after the Lebanon-based

military group Hezbollah carried out a deadly drone attack on a military base in Israel.

And Perez-Oresu Razzvani reports from Beirut.

The air strike hit an apartment in northern Lebanon in a predominantly Christian area of the country

that has been spared the worst of

Israel's attacks in recent weeks. The Israeli military did not say what or who the target was.

Israel's strike comes a day after Hezbollah launched a drone attack on an Israeli military

base killing four soldiers and injuring dozens of others. While visiting the

soldiers wounded in the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to

retaliate, quote,

without compassion in every part of Lebanon, including Beirut.
