President Biden visited the Hurricane Stricken Tampa Bay Florida area today.

Steve Newborn from Member Station W USF reports he took a helicopter tour of the damage

before speaking at a storm battered home, a block from St. Peach Beach.

The President flew over the stadium for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team whose fabric

roof was torn to shreds by Milton.

Biden noted the storm had been predicted to hit Tampa Bay head on.

It took a last minute turn to the south, which meant high winds and storm surge here

weren't as bad as predicted.

But for some individuals, it was cataclysmic.

All those folks who not only lost their homes,

but more importantly, those folks who lost their lives,

lost family members, lost other personal belongings.

Entire neighborhoods are flooded and millions, millions without power.

The President announced more than $ million dollars in initiatives to make
