In Birmingham, Alabama police officer Truman Fitzgerald

says investigators are asking the public for help as they work to determine the circumstances behind the shooting last night

that left four people dead and more than 20 others injured.

Our detectives are working to confirm whether the shooters walked up on the victims or drove by in a vehicle. And that's why we need the public's help.

The shooting happened as people were lined up outside a cigar lounge in a popular

nightlife area of Birmingham. Investigators say they believe multiple shooters were

involved police have not yet made any arrests.

Air raid sirens have been going off in northern Israel as the conflict with the Lebanese

militant group has Bala escalates.

The two sides have been trading heavy fire following Friday's Israeli

airstrike in Beirut that killed at least 37 people including one of Hezbollah's

top leaders. Separately Israeli forces have shut down the West Bank Bureau of the Al Jazeera News Network

for at least 45 days, perhaps longer, as in Pierce Baitrauhi reports.

The Qatar-based news network which broadcasts in English and Arabic

carried images showing masked and armed Israeli forces entering the Ramallah

News Bureau overnight.

Al Jazeera says Israeli forces evicted staff from the office and destroyed broadcast equipment.
