Former President Trump's campaign says he's safe after what the FBI says appears to be an assassination

attempt. Shots were fired in his vicinity while he was golfing at his golf course

in Palm Beach today. Martin County Sheriff William Snyder says one person is in custody

after his deputies detain the driver of a vehicle

wanted in connection with the shooting in Martin County about an hour north of

Palm Beach.

To a truck will tow it back, tow the vehicle back,

to Palm Beach County, and I have a clear understanding

from the investigators that we actually do have

suspect that we're looking for in Palm Beach County.

Speaking there to W.P. TV, this comes some two months after the Republican presidential

nominee was wounded by a gunshot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, the White House says President Biden and Vice President Harris

have been briefed about the security incident

and that they are relieved to know Trump is safe.

Congress has just two weeks from tomorrow to pass legislation to pay for government
