Secretary of State Anthony Blinking

is accusing some Russian news agencies of engaging in covert activities,

not just in the U.S. but around the world.

The U.S. is imposing sanctions on them.

As we hear from MPs Michelle Kellerman.

Secretary Blinken says U.S. diplomats will be warning their counterparts around the world

about what the Russian state media company, Rassia Civonia, and its subsidiaries are up to. He says they're not just

quote firehouses of propaganda. They are engaged in covert influence activities

aimed at undermining American elections and democracies,

functioning like a de facto arm of Russia's intelligence apparatus.

He says Russia's state-controlled TV network, RT,

is running a crowdfunding platform that's providing weapons to Russian military units in Ukraine

meddling in elections in Moldova and spreading propaganda across Africa through a

digital platform it runs called Africa Stream. Michelle Kiliman and
