President Biden wrapped up a summit with the leaders of Japan and South Korea at the

presidential retreat of Camt David today.

NPR's Osmahalo reports the meeting addressed a number of pressing issues, including the

increasing threats from North Korea and China.

They agreed to strengthen defense cooperation, and what that means is, you know, joint military

exercises, a commitment to create this crisis hotline.

I will say this is not only about security, they are also pledging economic cooperation

around things like supply chains.

You know, it's also worth pointing out, part of why this entire meeting today is so

significant is that Japan and South Korea have had a really tense relationship over

the decades.

Six Republican presidential hopefuls will speak at a conservative conference in Atlanta

this weekend.

Georgia public broadcasting, Stephen Fowler reports the candidates are expected to make

their pitch to voters ahead of next week's primary debate.

At the gathering hosted by conservative radio personality Eric Erickson, many of the

top GOP contenders, not named Donald Trump, have been invited to answer policy questions

about everything from the border to education.

Some candidates like Florida Governor Ronda Santos have signaled a desire to move past

Trump's 2020 election defeat.
