Even as he faces a new raft of charges this time, a multi-count indictment handed up by

a Georgia grand jury, former President Donald Trump continues to fight back.

The charges brought by Fulton County Day, Fawni Willis accused Trump and 18 others of rack

at tearing and other crimes as part of an effort to overturn the 2020 election.

NPR's Franco-Ordonia reports the former president and current GOP frontrunner plans

to re-bubble next week. He plans to hold a press conference on Monday, and he says his team will

release a detailed report on what he promises will be proof of election fraud in Georgia,

which of course has been shown repeatedly to be false. And I'll just add that earlier today,

the Georgia governor, Brian Kemp, also dismissed this stating that in the three years,

no one has been able to provide any legal proof of fraud.

NPR's Franco-Ordonia is indicted along with Trump, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows,

and lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Georgia's granted Harris County, Texas, a temporary injunction against

the law that will require the county to abolish its elections administrator's office.

Houston Public Media's Andrew Schneider says the Texas Attorney General appealed the decision.

The Republican-dominated Texas legislature passed a bill in May that would shift the

functions of Harris County's elections administrator to its elected county clerk and tax

assessor collector. The law was set to take effect less than two months before the start of early

voting for Houston's next mayor. Harris County Attorney Christian Manifee is suing the state,

calling the law unconstitutional. In the end of the day, we know that this is not about making

elections better for the Republican Party. It's about undermining confidence in our elections.
