Former President Donald Trump continues to blast the Justice Department after a grand

jury indicted him this week for his role in the January 6 in correction.

Troy Public Radio's Kyle Gassett reports Trump told supporters in Alabama last night that

he hopes to be indicted again.

Many of Alabama's GOP heavy hitters, including Governor Kay Ivey and Senator Tommy Tuberville,

were there to show support for the former president.

In the hours before the event, many Republicans, including the party's U.S. House delegation,

officially endorsed Trump for the 2024 election.

Early in his speech, Trump addressed his recent indictments and said they're having a positive

effect on his campaign.

Every time they file an indictment, we go way up in the polls.

We need one more indictment to close out this election.

By the end of the evening, the state GOP reported it had raised a record breaking $1.2 million.

A Texas judge has ruled in favor of 13 patients and two doctors who sued the state over medical

exceptions and its abortion laws.

And P.R. Sarah McCammon reports the plaintiffs argue that the state's abortion bans lack clarity,

putting patients in danger during medically complicated pregnancies.

The decision follows an emotional hearing last month in which several women described struggling

to navigate emergency medical decisions about pregnancies that doctors said endangered

their health.
