President Biden is responding to former President Donald Trump's speech last night at the close of the Republican

National Convention.

In a statement, Biden said Trump's remarks focused on his own grievances with no plan to unite the nation or make life better for

working Americans.

Biden said in a statement he would be back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing Trump's agenda

But the president is currently isolating at his beach house in Delaware with COVID and hasn't been seen since Wednesday.

Meanwhile more and more members of Congress and his own party are calling on him to

resign from his campaign.

The latest is Senator Martin Heinrich of New Mexico who called on Biden to pass the torch and several House members have done the same.

Biden himself and his campaign continue to insist he is staying in the race.

The President of Mexico says he's planning to write to former President Donald Trump to

correct him on his statements on immigration and trade.

And PR's Ader Peralta report, speakers at the Republican National Convention this week attacked

immigrants and the free trade agreement with

Mexico. Speakers at the RNC including former President Trump vilified

immigrants calling them murderers and rapists. One speaker said they were, quote, illiterates taking American jobs.
