The State Department says it is still trying to gather information about the U.S. soldier

who ran across the border into North Korea this week.

The Pentagon reached out to North Korea's military, but has not heard back as M. P. R.

S. Michelle Kalman explains.

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller says the U.S. has a number of channels to pass

messages to North Korea and is working with Sweden, which represents U.S. interests in

Pyongyang.

The White House, the Pentagon, we hear the State Department and the U.N. are all continuing

to work together on this matter to ascertain information about the well-being and whereabouts

of Private King.

Private Travis King had just been released from jail in South Korea and was escorted to an

airport to return home to face disciplinary action.

Instead he joined a tour group to the demilitarized zone and was seen running into North Korea.

Already looking at criminal charges in both New York and Florida, former President Donald

Trump is likely to face additional charges soon.

A letter sent to Trump Sunday lists him as a target of a federal grand jury probe, something

that will likely mean an indictment is near.

It adds to a remarkable situation in which a former president faces a litany of charges,

a number of which could mean possible prison time, even as he seeks to reclaim the White

House.
