Toysary Secretary Janet Yellen is on a four-day trip to China.

In Beijing today, she said the U.S. and China must work together to combat what she called

the existential threat of climate change.

As the world's two largest emitters of greenhouse gases and the largest investors in renewable

energy, we have both a joint responsibility and ability.

Yellen said the two countries should coordinate their efforts to pay for initiatives to fight

climate change.

She also said as the world's two biggest economies, they should compete fairly and communicate

closely to avoid misunderstandings.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is an Istanbul part of a European tour to rally support

for his country's acceptance into NATO.

Turkish President Rajip Tayyip Erdogan says there is no doubt that Ukraine deserves NATO

membership.

His support comes as Turkey has not approved Sweden's application to join the alliance,

saying Sweden hasn't done enough to crack down on Kurdish militants that Ankara views

as a threat.

The gunmen who killed 23 people at an El Paso Wal-Mart in 2019 has been sentenced to

90 consecutive life sentences in the federal prison without the possibility of parole.
