Representative Lloyd Doggett of Texas is the first sitting Democrat in Congress to call on President

Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.

MPRS Deidger Walsh reports on the political fallout from last week's debate.

Lloyd Doggett represents a very blue district based in Austin.

He says Biden has been running behind Democratic senators in key states and has been trailing

GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump in some key places.

He hoped the debate would change that and it didn't.

Doggett says his move to make his concerns public doesn't diminish his respect for the president but

Biden's first commitment should be to quote our country not himself. The Biden

campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment but But the President's advisors have dismissed calls

announcing a new agreement with Panama, aimed at stopping the flow of migrants heading north toward
