President Biden's son Hunter will plead guilty to two misdemeanor federal tax charges

and avoid a full prosecution on a separate gun charge in a deal with the Justice Department

that likely spares him time behind bars if he adheres to certain conditions.

Top Republicans are slamming the deal.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy says it shows a two-tiered system in the U.S.

referring to former President Donald Trump's federal charges over classified documents

he kept at his floor at home.

France is sending a ship equipped with a deep-sea diving vessel to help locate a submersible

missing since Sunday that was visiting the wreck of the Titanic.

And Piers-Ellen herbearsley reports one of the five people on board the missing vessel

is a former French Navy officer who's written several books about the doomed ocean liner

that went down in the North Atlantic on its maiden voyage in 1912.

Former French Navy officer Paul Arinaus-Jolet is director of undersea research for the

American company RMS Titanic.

His family confirmed that he is on board the submersible called the Titan, the 77 year

old's love for the famous shipwreck has earned him the moniker Muscio Titanique in France.
