Rick Wood Field is the oldest baseball field in the US.

It's also where comedian Roy Wood Jr spent a lot of time growing up.

Racism was around, but this baseball field somehow was a separate oasis from all of that for blacks and white.

President Biden sat down with the NATO Secretary General today.

NPR Franco-Oordoniers reports the two noting the progress that allies are making

increasing their defense spending.

The two leaders met in the Oval Office as part of preparations for next month's 75th annual NATO summit.

President Biden boasted that now more than 20 allies will spend the targeted 2% of their GDP on defense spending.

In fact, the number is more than doubled since we took office since I took office.

NATO defense spending has turned into a political issue here in the United States.

Former President Donald Trump has accused Europeans of not spending enough on their own security and relying on the U.S. for protection.

Speaking earlier at the Wilson Center, Stoltenberg emphasized that the increased

spending particularly benefited the U.S. because two-thirds of European acquisitions were

from U.S. firms. Franco, Ordonez.
