Former president Donald Trump delivered his first post-enditement speeches during public

events in North Carolina and Georgia on Saturday.

as a quote, final battle with corrupt forces that he says are destroying the country.

The former president calls this week's federal indictment a political hit job and election

interference.

This vicious persecution is a travesty of justice.

Speaking to the state's Republican convention, Pence said Trump's indictment undermines

confidence in the federal justice system.

The former president, like every other American, is entitled to a presumption of innocence.
